Changes on eBay Affiliate through Commission Junction
Important News….eBay Affiliate is now done Inhouse
Are you an eBay affiliate through Commission Junction?
If you are, you probably have received news about the change to the brand new eBay Partner Network.
All current eBay affiliate links will be affected by the change. It is a change that will effect all of the eBay affiliate links currently placed on all websites.
Please bear this in mind - The change will effect every website that eBay affiliates have that contains an eBay affiliate link no matter where the site came from.
eBay Partner Network is a new eBay global affiliate program that will go live on April 1st, 2008. When that happens, eBay will no longer be running their affiliate program through Commission Junction. If you are a current eBay affiliate, please register with eBay Partner Network here. (Please scroll all the way to the bottom and click “Affiliates”). You must migrate your links from Commission Junction, (CJ) to the new eBay Partner Network Platform.

After years of working together with CJ and ValueClick, eBay has decided to give their affiliates a customized experience.
The eBay Partner Network or EPN and CJ will run parallel for one month. So if you are an eBay affiliate through CJ, please complete your migration by 1st May 2008.
Tools and Benefits of working with……
Whether you are a current eBay affiliate or a new EPN affiliate, do not worry.

Starting is as easy as 1-2-3-4….
Irrespective if you are current eBay affiliate or thinking of becoming an EPN affiliate, getting started is made easy by just following 4 simple steps.
The people at eBay are amazing. They have made the entire process so easy. I did my migration and got everything done within 30 minutes. So even if you are just starting up, by following the 4 easy steps, you can be up and running in less than an hour. Most importantly it is FREE.
Step 1 - Register Yourself
To register you need to go to eBay Partner Network. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen and select “Affiliates”. Fill up the basic information. During registration, a section will ask for your website address. Select the description that best fits your site even if it is a blog or a hobby site. You are still eligible to sign up as an EPN affiliate even though if you currently do not have a website. You will then receive an email with your login details. After that you are free to enter the site.
You can build your own website free at Niche Marketing Site (on the left sidebar, select “Website Builders” and download your Free software) or at Weebly.
Step 2 - Programs Tab
This is a very important step. Make sure that you select “Programs Tab” when you first sign in. It will list you all the eBay country’s programs to which you can apply or have applied.
Please remember that although EPN is a global platform, different countries have slightly different rulings and payment structures. Read the terms and condition as well as the payment structure. Over at the Programs Tabs, you will get to see your status of each country’s program application.
Step 3 - Tools Tab
Over here eBay has created different ways for you to place links or banners on your site. The links and banners will be encoded with your special affiliate link and/or your tracking link that points directly to eBay or Half.com
If you are new to eBay affiliate program, I highly recommend you use the Link Generaqtor or the Creative Generator. Everything is easily accessible at the Tools Tab.
Follow the simple instructions that help you throughout the whole process. Once you have completed setting up your tools tab, click on the Generate Code button. Just copy and paste the code onto your website.
Step 4 - Payment Details
The final step is setting up your Payment Information. EPN currently offers 2 mode of payment methods - Paypal and Direct Deposit.
That is all. You are now ready to start earning your first commission. Remember, EPN is giving out a special 5% bonus just for the month of April 2008. Do not delay, migrate immediate or sign up now as an EPN affiliate here.

My Personal Feedback
I have been poking around and personally I love it.
eBay has maked the entire setting-up process very simple and easy. Information to assist the migration or new affiliates are very easily accessible via the video tutorial as well as the help desk.
The interface is clean and intuitive. It was very easy for me to generate links and paste it to my website. Everything has work fine so far except for the “widgets”, which indicate that they are “coming soon”.
eBay has also restructured their rates and I am happy to personally say the the new payment structure clearly shows that eBay is planning to pay a lot more than when they were with CJ.
eBay Partner Network, (scroll all the way to the bottom and click “Affiliates”) has some of the most generous affiliate commissions on the web and how much you can earn depends on how much quality traffic you can drive every month - the more you drive, the more you earn. Each program has a different payment structure but you need not worry so much into that as eBay takes care of everything. Just concentrate on generating quality traffic.
They also provide comprehensive and easy to use tools for affiliates.
