How To Use Mybloglog

MyBlogLog is a Web2.0 marketing tools that every one with a presence on the internet must take full advantage of.  Below I have append step by step instructions to creating your Mybloglog profile and how you can generate traffic from it to your blog.

Step1

Create a MyBlogLog account at http://www.mybloglog.com by registering your blog and creating a profile. Create a profile that shares something interesting about your blog site and yourself as the owner. Explain the purpose of your blog in the profile. Interesting profiles increase the chance that other bloggers will join the community and expand traffic.

Step 2

Install the MyBlogLog Widget on your blog. You need to log-in to your wordpress admin area by typing http://www.(yourdomainname.com)/(yourfolder if any)/wp-admin.  You then need to go to “Presentation”, “Theme Editor” and select “Navigation”.  Paste the Mybloglog widget there.  This widget displays the MyBlogLog registered visitors that land on your blog. Choose from a variety of displays and sizes that best fit your blog.

Step 3

Check the visitors that visit your blog on a daily basis. Return the visit by clicking on the vistor’s link in the MyBlogLog widget. Your own MyBlogLog avatar will show up on the blogs that you visit. This method of leaving a personal calling card encourages blog owners to visit your own blog, thus increasing traffic to your blog.  It is also encouraged to “Leave a Message” thanking them for visiting your blog.

Step 4

Search the communities listed on MyBlogLog and locate communities that you are interested in or those that share a similar purpose as the blog you own. Explore new communities and check out other blogs that get high traffic. Click on “Join this community” to leave a link to your blog. By networking with others in similar communities, you can build relationships and establish readers who return to your blog again and again.

Step 5

Visit several new blogs in MyBlogLog each day. Check out the popular blogs as well as new members. Leave a private or public message on the blogs that are interesting. Leaving messages is one way to help others get to know your blog, gain exposure and build networking.

Step 6

Provide fresh, solid content on your blog to keep your blog rankings high and get return readers. Blogs that are full of ads or weak content will not attract new traffic nor returning traffic.

Mybloglog is a very interesting site.  It is one of the best place to generate traffic to your blog.

Cheers……
